The Nerang Aquatic Centre has a very experienced and enthusiastic team of Coaches

Head Coach:

John Papuni has been coaching swimmers for 13 years. He draws from his experience as a competitive swimmer and worked as the assistant coach to Ken Wood at Redcliffe Leagues Lawnton for 3 years.

John left Redcliffe in 2007 to take over as the head coach of the Nerang Aquatic Centre. The squad has been growing substantially ever since and the club has a very strong and successful swim team.

John provides a professional, positive and supportive environment for swimmers that will enable them to reach their full individual potential.

Assistant Coaches:

Amy Papuni (Seals and Rainbow Fish) has a National Age and Open swimming background where she was highly ranked in her age group. Being a former swimmer of John in New Zealand, Amy comes with John's positive and supportive style of coaching.
