Congratulations to all our swimmers. Not only were the results reflective of all the hard work that our coaches and children have put in over the chilly Winter, but it was great to see the team camaraderie and support for all our first time State swimmers, new members and and their families.

Among an enormous amount of PB's, we achieved no less than 41 top ten placings and 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze.

Mc Donalds Gold Coast Winter Championships
Thanks to all who helped and turned the Regional Championships into a great success.
Our pool just lends itself to a competition of this kind and our facilities proved to be excellent.
But it would not be possible to do without all of those who gave their time, setting up for the meet and running it over the two days. We were well organised and had a lot of fun.
Thanks to our Coaches Kate and John for looking after our swimmers and bringing out the best in them. Our kids swam well and did us proud.
It was great to see the likes of Brenton Rickard, Leiston Pickett and Nick Ffrost competing with Rickard achieving a PB in the 200 Breast.
That's right, an Olympic and World Champion swam a PB at our own pool!
There were also 19 records broken over the two days.
Thanks again for your contribution in making this a succes and let's try and do it again next year.
Well done Isaac Robb and Michaela Giddy!
Both of our talented Swimmers competed at the Telstra SC Championships in Brisbane recently. Great achievement guys.
Michaela took a full second of her 50 Breast. Well done.

A big thank you to our head coach John Papuni for his great speech, proudly acknowleding his team and talking about the retiring Kate Brookes-Peterson's career and the sacrifices that went with it.
It was a very special moment which brought a tear to our eyes for many of us.
Thanks to all for coming along and celebrating our swimmers.

Swimming Gold Coast Championships, 12th-14th of March
The Swimming Gold Coast Championships turned out to be an outstanding success for our team and the credit goes to our incredibly committed coaches
John Papuni and Kate Brookes-Peterson, who have worked so diligently with them to make them the great sportsmen and women we saw competing so well this weekend.
To the whole team, your conduct over the 3 days was exemplary and you did your Club and yourselves proud.
To all the parents who supported the children, timekept and cheered so loudly, thank you so much.
We wouldn't be the excellent Club that we are without your continual sacrifice and support.
The huge amount of PB's achieved is fantastic and the medal tally comes to; 26 Gold, 16 Silver and 17 Bronze
We won 5 relays, came 2nd in one and 7th in another.
Age Champion trophies went to Kate Brooks-Peterson and Hannah-Grace Robb.
Congratulations to all 26 swimmers involved in the Meet last weekend.
Our swimmers amassed 700.50 points to put our Club comfortably into a safe 3rd place overall which was a remarkable team effort.

February, 2010
Nerang Annual Swim Meet
The Carnival went off without a hitch (and if there were any, nobody knew!). This is with thanks to every single one of you.
Without everyone's great efforts on carnival day and without the countless hours of preparation that went into it, the carnival would simply not have happened.
It highlights the principal that when a team works together, a great result will come.
To our super coaching team, your hard work with the swimmers shows in the results and also in the team spirit that is ever present.
To our committee, your preparation and organisation set us up for a great day.
Once again, thank you everyone who helped on the day. I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did, it was a privilege to be a part of.
Kind Regards,
Bruce Skea
Club President
