Club Nights

General Club Night Information

During the swimming season, Club Nights are held fortnightly at the Nerang Aquatic Centre and racing commences at 5.30pm. There is no cost to enter the facility or to nominate for events.

Our Club Nights are held on a monthly basis over the winter period

Non-members are welcome to swim at two (2) Club nights obligation free. All subsequent attendance will require the swimmer to become either a recreational swimmer or a competitive swimmer.

All swimmers, parents and guardians are to sign in at the front gate upon arrival for attendance records and insurance purposes.

Assistance with timekeeping, marshalling, BBQ, setting up, packing away and selling raffle tickets is greatly appreciated. Everyone pitching in makes the evening run smoothly and on time. If there is something you would like to volunteer to do but are not familiar with, please ask one of our seasoned Club members who are more than happy to help you to gain the confidence you need.

Children are not to be left unattended at the pool on Club nights unless there is a supervising adult for your child. They will not be able to compete otherwise. The Nerang Swimming Club parents/committee as well as the City Pools Staff are not to be seen as unpaid babysitters for your child/children.

Club Night nomination forms are available next to the Club mail box at Reception. If you prefer, nominations can be eMailed to the racesecretary@nerangswimmingclub.com. Please ensure you have nominated by the closing date so that your swims may be recorded.

If you are not sure you can attend, nominate anyway, and withdraw later if necessary. Those swimmers who haven't nominated and want to swim on the night can do so, but their results will not be recorded and they will be given a personal time only.

Pool staff on duty would appreciate everyone placing their rubbish in the bins provided before leaving the premises at the end of the evening.

Club Night Raffles

Donations for raffles and lucky draws are greatly appreciated. Eg. Bottles of wine, chocolates, pot plants, sporting goods/vouchers etc.

We ask that each family donate at least once during the season. A roster can be found in the “Sign in Book” at the beginning of this season.
